The game won't start, or says it needs OpenGL 4.5

Update your graphics driver from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel's website. The basic driver Windows installs by itself doesn't support OpenGL 4.5. On laptops with two graphics chips, make sure the game runs on the dedicated one.

Where are my worlds saved?

In the worlds folder inside the game folder. Open game folder in the launcher takes you there. To back up a world, copy its folder.

Can I move the game to a different drive?

Yes. In the launcher, open Settings... and choose a new game folder. It will offer to move the game and your worlds there.

Windows says the launcher is from an unknown publisher

The launcher isn't signed with a Windows code signing certificate, which is why you get the warning. Click More info, then Run anyway. Game files are still checked against Emberfall's own release signature before they're installed.

An update failed, or the game is acting weird

Close the game and click Verify game files in the launcher. It checks all the files and re-downloads anything that's damaged. If it says it can't replace a file, the game is probably still running.

How do I play with friends?

Host a game and give them the room code, or join each other over LAN, or run a dedicated server. See the Multiplayer page.

Is there a Mac version?

No, only Windows and Linux for now.

Reporting bugs

Post bugs in #bug-reports. Say what you were doing and what went wrong, and attach your log files if you can:

Game loglogs/latest.log in the game folder
Launcher loglogs/latest.log next to the launcher

Logs from earlier runs are kept in the same folder, named by date and time.
