Multiplayer
Everything in the game works in multiplayer, including machines, boats and cannons, ember gates, weather and the Barrow.
Ways to play
Room code
Host a game from the menu and you get a code. Your friends enter it and join from wherever they are. No port forwarding needed.
LAN
Games on the same network show up on the Join screen automatically.
Dedicated server
Run a headless server with a whitelist, for a world that's always up.

Playing together
Other players show up with their own coat colour and their name above their head. Weather is shared, so everyone gets the same storm, and volcanoes erupt for everyone at the same time.
If you go through an ember gate, anyone who follows comes out next to you. The Barrow goes after whoever is closest. Villagers' stock is shared, so if someone else buys the last of something, it's gone. Sleeping through the night is a vote.

Ships
Coming in 0.2.0Several people can be on the same galleon while it sails, each on a different gun. Everyone sees the same shots and the same damage.
PvP
Players can attack each other, and shields and armour work the same as against mobs. The host can turn PvP off.
Joining late
When you join, you get the world as it is: what's been built, what's in the chests, and any gates that were lit while you were gone.
Download
Everyone needs the launcher, which also keeps you all on the same version.
